Introduction: Ajmer was founded by Raja Ajay Pal Chauhan and it is situated in the green oasis wrapped in the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chistibarren hills.Ajmer used to be a major center of the Chauhan power till 1193 A.D. when the Ruler Prithviraj Chauhan lost it to Mohammed Ghauri. After Prithwiraj Chauhan Ajmer witnessed dynasties, which came and left leaving behind indelible marks of their culture and traditions on the city’s history, converting it to an amalgam of various cultures and blend of Hinduism and Islam.
Today, Ajmer is one of the most significant pilgrimate destination equally important for Hindus as well as Muslims. Especially famous is the Dargah Sharif-tomb of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti.

Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chist : Tour the Dargah of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti with Indian Horizons and discover a pious mausoleum where you find peace and happiness. Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti was born and brought up in Persia. He lost his parents at the age of 16 and inherited an orchard and other family businesses that he renounced after he met a pir baba who stopped by on his orchard one day. Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti was a great Sufi saint who was the harbinger of Islam in India. He served and blessed the poor. It is believed that those who come and pray with unadulterated faith and devotion at his Dargah or mausoleum are blessed out of their miseries.

Arhai-din-ka-Jhonpra : This masterpiece of Indo- Islamic Architecture was created in two and a half days. It was largely built from pieces of Jain and Hindu temples. Although this mosque needs to restoration, it's still a masterpiece of architecture.

Taragarh Fort : One of the smallest of Rajasthan forts, the Tara Garh fort was built by Ajaypal Chauhan in the year 1100 AD. A winding uphill road leads to the fort situated on top of a hill. Tara Garh is a rectangular fort whose walls are almost four-and-a-half metre thick. It is worth mentionable that Tara Garh is the first Indian fort to have been built on top of a hill. A splendid bird's eye view of entire Ajmer is available from the fort top. It is unfortunate to note that most parts of the fort could not stand the tests of time and is in ruins now.
Ana Sagar Lake : The lovely Ana Sagar lake was constructed by King Anaji, grandfather of the great warrior Prithvi Raj Chauhan in the 12th century. The scenic beauty of the place where the lake is located attracts tourists in large numbers. A marble pavilion built by Emperor Shahjahan also stands near the lake. Beautiful gardens on the sides further adds colour to the place.

Introduction: small town on the edge of Rajasthan's Thar desert, Pushkar isPushkar Ghat famous both as a pilgrimage destination and a place where one of world's most colourful animal fair is held. There is life-size four-armed idol of Lord Brahma - the creator in the vestibule. The temple has marble floors and stairs and coins have been put by the devotees to mark the birth or deaths of the loved ones.

Pushkar Fair : Pushkar adorns an altogether new look during the animal fair held in the Hindu month of Kartik (October-November). The fair is held for a duration of one week on the banks of holy Pushkar lake. For the participant villagers who lead a difficult life in the arid Pushkar Fairdeserts, the fair comes as a whiff of fresh air.
On the first five days, trading of cattle is the main attraction. Tourists love to witness the transaction process which itself is considered unique in many respects. Long drawn negotiations take place between the buyers and sellers before arriving at settlements.
However, it is colourful events involving camels that is the main attraction of the fair. Supervised by their masters, camels participate in games like races and musical chairs. Beauty contests for camels are also held on the occasion. Strength of camels is also tested in games like laadoo oonth. The camel that lifts the highest weight is declared the winner.
